Has anyone else had problems with spam comments or trackbacks? I've noticed a lot of spam comments lately, and have closed the comments on all posts over a week old. When going though my archives I found a spam trackbacks, and closed all trackbacks over a week old. It sure would be nice if blogspirit had a word verification for comments!
Yesterday, in attempt to free up some disk space I went to control panel, then to file manager to see where exactly that 7 MG of space was. There was 5.6 mg in the images folder. There was doubles and triplicates of all the pictures, which I i erased and uploaded on photobucket. I have no idea how so many duplicate pictures where created unless it had anything to do with the crash blogspirit had back in September.

I've been getting a lot of spam as well, most of it as comments to older entries. For some reason you're not being notified about them like for the regular comments. But I just erase them when I see new ones.
About the images- even if you erase them, they're still kept in that folder and there's 2 for each if you have a thumbnail and an enlarged pic in another window. And if you've at some point included a picture in a post, accidentally removed it, then uploaded it again, those are all still going to be in the images folder... that really clogs up that folder big time. It's so annoying trying to clean up, too, because you can never really tell which one you've included in your post, etc...

I have seen some Spammed comments on someone else's site recently. I clicked on the name for the link and it didn't go anywhere so I knew it was spam. She does not have a Spam letter thingy on her comment page so guess that' how they did it. Either that or someone is just sitting around typing stuff on radom blogs. Very irritating to say the least! Thanks for being such a faithful reader of my blog. I don't have a following but one or two stopping by makes me happy!
