blah.....

Would you believe me if I told you that I haven't really been knitting since I last posted, ummm a week ago? I know its hard to believe. Lately I've been feeling, well. blah. Yeah, blah. Not really interested in knitting, or blogging, or reading blogs. What is wrong with me? I think "nesting" has started to set in. Because I've been cleaning. Holy crap have I been cleaning. (I've also been Christmas shopping, almost done. Few more things for Mike and the stocking stuffers. And I'm done. My mail man is going to h.a.t.e. me these next two weeks! Ok, there is also the things to finish crafting... anyway) I have *finally* found the guest bed, my bedroom is clean, and I've cleaned off my craft table. *gasps*

I think my lack of knitting excitement might have something to due with what is currently on my needles

Irish hiking scarf in red worsted weight wool. heh. boring.

first toe up socks, heh. Not interested anymore.

Seriously people what is wrong with me? Why am I not excited about knitting my first toe up socks? Learning the Norwegian purl, figuring out continental knitting (I'm an English knitter) Is it because these socks have been on the needles so long I've lost interested? Or because the colorway isn't doing anything for me anymore? eh. There isn't anything I *really* want  to cast on either. Even better one of my neighbors said to me today:

"My, your getting big."

No.shit. Could you pllllleeeasse tell me something I don't know? 35 weeks, I should freaking hope I look pregnant. *gr*

ps. I haven't checked my email in a while, I'm very, very scared. ; )  oh, yeah two days left in the contest! Mike and I are enjoying reading all your suggestions, thank you!!

K, so next time you see your neighbor smile and politely say, "My your getting big." and walk away.

You look so cute :)

Don't worry about the knitting blahs; you just have so much to do right now with Christmas and the baby coming soon, you're just a little overwhelmed probably. The knitting mojo will come back just you wait and see.

You look great!
When my sis was about as far as you were, she had a belly circumference of about 105cm, that's about 3.4 foot!

pg blahs...it'll pass soon. Hang in there. I don't think you're big at all, then again, that's coming from me, who's bigger than you at this stage of your pregnancy and i'm not pregnant yet!!! LOL Still LOVE the work you're doing, pretty scarf and always love looking at your socks. LOL

Both of my kids were born at 35 weeks, so the nesting is definitely appropriate. Don't put too much pressure on yourself -- only knit if you feel like it, cuz you know how it's gonna be when that baby comes. . .

You look great :)

- and if you don't feel like knitting don't knit. Enjoy your lovely family and all the Christmas preparations instead. It is no duty to knit, and I'm sure you'll be back.

*ahem* wasn't me that said it!!!! I would never, especially after I got to rub the baby belly and make my wish (hehe) Still waiting on it to come true. Don't let things trigger that pregnatude you look awesome! :-) *hugs*

Nesting is good. Especially around the holidays. I'm sure that the knitting mojo will come back soon enough. And you look adorable as a pregnant woman!!!

Posted by: Amy | 12/13/2006

Awww, nesting. That sounds nice. And you look gargeous, don't let your dumb neighbor make you feel bad.
I'm stuck in Red Scarf hell too! Will it ever enddddd......

I hate to tell you, but you are not all that big - honestly!

Posted by: trek | 12/13/2006

You look fab! Don't forget to put your feet up for a while this month - make the family wait on you a bit :-D

this time of year leaves me feeling crazy, crazy in ways that puts pms to shame! thus ... i am mighty unproductive.
hey, at least cleaning house IS productive! and presents ... i've not bought a single one!
kick back and relax. i think you've earned it :)

As far as Tracy's comment above I would go up to my neighbor and say, "my you're getting to be a **tch." I don't really have any "I need to be nice to stupid people" issues.

The knitting mojo comes and goes, as does the blog interests. Just ride it out and when you feel like it, you'll be back.

Sounds like your in a bit of knitting rut but have no fear it will pass. I think you look amazing!

Posted by: Kelly | 12/13/2006

It happens to everyone... a project funk. Don't worry, it will pass!

Posted by: melissa | 12/13/2006

Doesn't your neighbor know that a pregnant woman can kill over something like that and blame it on the hormones :)... You look great! Don't listen to anyone! The toe up sox look nice, is the short row heel hard?

Posted by: Tisha | 12/14/2006

I spent two months in that funk and didn't have pregnancy or nesting to blame it on! LOL - we all visit funkland - you'll snap out of it soon.

You look LOVELY! You are not "BIG" you look great. My gosh, when I was 35 weeks pregnant I was the size of a barn and practically had to walk through doors SIDEWAYS..lol

Cute picture of you. You do look preggers, but you also look skeptical. No backing out now....................

Posted by: christine | 12/14/2006

You look great! :) Just ignore that neighbor. (I on the other hand gained 75 pounds when I was pregnant....so I got the big comments all the time.) The blahs will pass....I think thats been going around lately.

You might be just a wee bit busy to really get into knitting!

Posted by: Carrie K | 12/14/2006

I wa big and fat for X-mas when I had my kids - she was born 1/31 & he 1/21, it gets so uncomfortable & it is so overwhelming during the holidays to begin with it & all that extra weight make it worse. Walking all day & shopping & such. But you look great & I love love love that scarf!

Posted by: Keana | 12/15/2006

You are one of those pregant women that doesn't get fat/swollen/hideously bloated, you get a bump. You and the bump (a.k.a. Zelda the great) look fantastic!

Yes the Irish Hiking Scarf is a big yawn, ins't it? It's beautiful, but I'm also bored to tears with mine...
