A lovely Holiday
Its hard for me to believe that Christmas is over, and that there are only 2 days left of 2006. (2 days!?! Crazy) We had a lovely Christmas, it was one of those days you wish was a little longer and you didn't want to end. I hope you all had as good of a Holiday as we did.
The kids had a ball with their gifts, and Mike enjoyed guessing what was in every package. (and was almost *always* right! He is too good!) poor guy, got all the fun "adult gifts" clothes and stuff for his trailer.
One reason to have kids, you get to buy really cool toys, play with them, and not be considered crazy.

The kids enjoyed playing for most of the day, We went over to Mike's Mom's than over to his Aunt's. It was a great day, with family, friends and lots of good food.
me? I got the bestest present ever. This year, I told Mike how I remember baking cookies with my mom with her Sunbeam stand mixer. (Which I have now, but when you use it it seems to want to take off into orbit or burst into flames!) I told him I would love a Kitchen Aid Mixer, like they have at the kitchen store at the mall. I also told him I would never bake him cookies from a bag mix again. Can you guess what I got?
It's pink, its perfect, and I'm so happy. I don't' know what to bake first I'm so excited! Did I mention its pink? Thank you Mike, there will be lots more cookies this year!!
ps I've been knitting, I think bloglines resets after it reaches so many posts. Because today when I opened it it said I had 32 unread posts.... uhhh I haven't read any blogs in a week! It was 100 and something last time I checked!

It looks like you all had a wonderful Christmas!
Your new mixer looks wonderful! I got mine from my parents a couple of years ago for my birthday (the pistachio color). When I got it I didn't know what to make either - I ended up just making simple chocolate chip cookies "to break it in." :) Have fun with it!

A pink Kitchen Aid! I would LOVE a Kitchen Aid mixer, even though I can't remember the last time I made anything that required a mixer, but it's pretty! And pink!
I think I would be tempted to glue some rhinestones on it.
Glad you had a Merry Christmas!

Love the Kitchenaid mixer! Especially in pink! It's definitely on my list of must-haves when I have a bigger kitchen!

Happy Christmas to you! It looks like a good one was had by all.
You better watch it though. The mixer can be an addictive thing. Lot's of goodies can be made with that and it will call you often:D
Mine is a pretty butter yellow and looks so nice on the counter, but I really like that retro pink!

A Pink mixer - so cute :)

The mixer is awesome! I think the pink ones mean that a portion of the proceeds go to support breast cancer reserach, so that's a good thing, too. Happy New Year! How long until you're due?

Very nice mixer! I love the pink. The only thing I don't like about the new Kitchen Aid is that I can't lift up the top anymore. The bowl drops down, but not enough.
That is one festive looking Christmas tree and presents!

Love your new mixer! I received mine for Christmas years ago, and still love it to death, and it's just plain ol' white :o)
.... ya know, a great follow-up Christmas gift for another year is the Kitchen Aid food processor - worked for me!

Wow! I love the Kitchen Aid. I have one in red and it is fab. I am baking tomorrow night and can't wait to use it! Looks like you already broke it in with something!
