Nice...

There was a guy I dated in high school that would always say "nice." Towards the end of our relationship it was like nails on a chalkboard. Kinda like the girl JD on scrubs dated that would never laugh she would say "that's funny."  It was very irritating. When the ex bf would say nice he would either mean ohh that's cool or nice in a condescending way. Nice was a word with many different meanings for him. Today I bring you: Nice...

Nice... blue sky with no clouds. Warm sunny day here in Western PA.

Nice... the sock that lives in the mini van has finally grown more than 1" (I'm using Vesper sock in Astro on size 0's)

Nice... I managed to cut my pinky finger on my right hand while shaving my legs. (really, who else does this?)

Nice... 1 almost finished Gentleman's sock with Lozenge Patten from Knitting Vintage Socks. (started April 14)

Nice... my legs are so pasty white they are reflective

Nice... I have a new love for almost solid sock yarn, even though my camera has a hard time capturing the beauty of STR boysenberry see?

Nice... I've finally updated my blog ; )

Nice! (Sorry.) I would love to update my blog too but I can't seem to kick this nasty cough and it makes me so tired! Anyway, I like the sock yarn. I just ordered like 10 skeins of sock yarn and I have even more that I just received or bought. This kinda defeats the whole "I'm not gonna buy yarn after MS&W thing" since if I keep it up I won't have any money for MS&W. It's a sickness I tell you!

I laughed out loud at the pinky finger incident. Nice of you to go to all that trouble before the leg shots! I love the color of that sock yarn and the soock looks great too.

Okay, I can top your cut finger story. I work with knives all day long, five days a week. The odds are not in my favor for cuts. Yesterday I worked in a client's home and what do I cut my flipping finger on???? The foil on a wine bottle. I was trying to get the foil off to use the cork screw and cut my stinking finger! Who does THAT? lol! I am sitting here laughing at how silly this sounds.

The color did come through. The socks are wonderful. I have only done one sock pattern but hopefully this summer I will try to knit another pattern. It's scary!

That was the sky? Did you see that really bright light up there too. Someone said it was the "Sun". Finally some warm weather.

lol! growing up "nice" was almost a bad word between my parents!
if my mom asked how she looked, dad had better not say nice. ravishing, wonderful even appropriate...but never,ever nice!
