A lovely Holiday

Its hard for me to believe that Christmas is over, and that there are only 2 days left of 2006. (2 days!?! Crazy) We had a lovely Christmas, it was one of those days you wish was a little longer and you didn't want to end. I hope you all had as good of a Holiday as we did.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The kids had a ball with their gifts, and Mike enjoyed guessing what was in every package. (and was almost *always* right! He is too good!) poor guy, got all the fun "adult gifts" clothes and stuff for his trailer.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

One reason to have kids, you get to buy really cool toys, play with them, and not be considered crazy.

The kids enjoyed playing for most of the day, We went over to Mike's Mom's than over to his Aunt's. It was a great day, with family, friends and lots of good food.

me? I got the bestest present ever. This year, I told Mike how I remember baking cookies with my mom with her Sunbeam stand mixer. (Which I have now, but when you use it it seems to want to take off into orbit or burst into flames!) I told him I would love a Kitchen Aid Mixer, like they have at the kitchen store at the mall. I also told him I would never bake him cookies from a bag mix again. Can you guess what I got?

It's pink, its perfect, and I'm so happy. I don't' know what to bake first I'm so excited! Did I mention its pink? Thank you Mike, there will be lots more cookies this year!!

ps I've been knitting, I think bloglines resets after it reaches so many posts. Because today when I opened it it said I had 32 unread posts.... uhhh I haven't read any blogs in a week! It was 100 and something last time I checked!

My little man turns 6!

Today my little man, Bryce turns 6!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

He is a fabulous builder, you should see his train track! Its amazing how well he can put it together. And his lego creations? wow. He is also a very creative artist. I love watching him draw!

He amazes me every day with the funny things he says. When my friend MandaJ asked him last week if he was getting taller he responded with "no, I'm shrinking!"
Bryce I hope you have a fantastic Birthday, could you do Mommy one little favor? Quit growing up so fast!

There's somethin in the water...

Mike and I are expecting a little girl January 16, I hope you all understand my hesitation for waiting. I wanted to make sure everything was ok before I shared my great news! When Mom and I went to Maryland sheep & wool festival and we met up with Mike that evening. While out to dinner Mike and I where looking at all the cute little baby's everywhere. We started talking about having another one, Little did we know I was already pregnant!
This is the part where I show you all 11 ultrasound pictures, right? Just kidding, how about two?

Baby girl was not being cooperative! She did not want to show her face. The first pic is of the back of her head (got a lot of those) her arm and her hand. The second pic is a 3D profile shot. See her little nose? Her finners? Yeah sure you do!
I should have finished socks to show you soon! yay!

Blogiversary... a few days late!

I can't beleive its been a year already, ok 1 year and 5 days that I've been blogging with blogspirit! I started blogging in May of 2005 over here  using AOL journals. If you haven't guessed already, I'm very challenged (quit giggling! I mean it!) when it comes to technology. I like blogspirit because it took very little reading to figure out, same with photobucket. Flicker, good Lord! huh? Don't get me wrong, I like to read, just not really read directions. (yeah maybe thats why the sweater didn't fit! gr!)

Anyway, since its my blogiversary I might as well give something away right?!? ok! So, little contest is in order. I'll pick a name on Sunday the 30th. Good luck.

Weekend fun

This weekend was complete madness, busy running all over place trying to remember everything and not lose any children.

First up we had Corra and Bryce's dance recital Friday night, Don't they look cute in their overpriced poorly made costumes? Bryce thinks his shirt looks pretty. Let it be known that He wanted to be in dance class with Corra, and I try not to cringe when he plays with Corra's barbies. The second picture is Bryce and Corra with their dance teacher Marcy.

This was Corra's second year in dance, Bryce's first, my first year watching the whole recital (which was 3.5 freaking hours long!) Last year I helped backstage, this year I knew better. I'm not sure if the kids are going to go to the same dance school next year, I was extremely disappointed that none of the ballet dances where to classical music, Sorry but a point solo is so much more meaning full done to a classical ballad than total eclipse of the heart or Martina McBride's She's a butterfly. What happened to classical music? How about the old lady on the piano? I did enjoy the whole performance, Corra and Bryce did fabulous! I sat next to the funniest older man who's wife knits afghans (just afghans, nothing else just afghans) who informed me that you can't make any mistakes in your knitting because everyone can see them. Then I proceeded to screw up the 2x2 rib cuff of the sock I casted on before the program started.

Saturday morning Bryce had his last soccer game of the season, which they won! Yippie! Bryce scored 2 goals! Yippie! He also received his trophy, see

Saturday night we went to Community Days in DuBois  Sorry to say, we didn't watch the largest Fireman's Parade. There are only *so* many fire trucks you can watch go by before they all look the same. Wait, they already do! Charlotte said home, she said she didn't want to get all mussed up by the fair food. The kids and I had a blast, they had their faces painted and

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

rode the free rides, made some free crafts, got some balloon animals, and ate some yummy fair food. They all had snow cones, Allysa dumped hers on her lap! We ohhed and ahhed over the fireworks and then went home.

Sunday Corra had her last soccer game, she played so well! They won 1:0. She received her metal for soccer. Bet you want to see pictures of that huh? Well the good mother/blogger that I am left the camera at home. Yup. I'm *that* good.

Monday we had a fun fun meeting day and today Corra went to GS camp, hopefully I will get some knitting done and maybe a bit of cleaning.

420 mile trip

Friday afternoon, the ex picked up C & B and A and I jumped in the car and speed off for our 420 mile trip to Mema and Pepe's. The trip with the (almost) hidden agenda.*Since I missed the Harlot while she was in Pittsburgh. *pout* I was horribly pleased that she was at WEBS  yesterday.  Everything went smoothly on my  trip up here, passed many cops on the highway, no ticket *yay* didn't hit anything, nothing flew off my van as we speed down I-80 at mach6.

Mom and I laughed, cried and knitt while we listened to Stephanie talk about her new book, her mom, knitting, and her family.

Image hosting by Photobucket

Thanks Mom, your camera is truely much better than mine. Really.

If you have the chance to see Stephanie, trust me on this, do everything in your power to see her!!! Stephanie is very charming, and a very lovely person. After Her little thing, we all went back to WEBS in a mad rush for the book signing. Webs has their annual sale going on right now too. Smart people. Very smart. Three bags of Debbie Bliss Cathay followed me home, and two just in case balls too.

Image hosting by Photobucket

Look! I don't look like a idiot! I have a chin! Yay!

I must be going, have to finish packing, better make sure I have everything this time!! I've braved dial-up for this, because my laptop and I are not on speaking terms right now. I've broken my um... 3 (I think) power cable (in two years maybe three), and I'm waiting for Mike to call Dell for the replacement. uhh huh... I have no access to the internets until the power cable shows up at the door. *sigh*

*Last year when I went to the WEBS tent sale I didn't fully disclose to Mike that it was a  trip with a dual purpose. To see family and to buy lots and lots of yarn. This trip I told him that I wanted to meet an Author that I missed while she was in Pittsburgh, but I never disclosed (and he never asked) the name of the author or the genre of her books. *evil laughter* or that I was going to buy yarn, lots and lots of yarn! *more evil laughter*

Please tell me

tell me that I'm not the only person with their Christmas tree still up in April. (And there is no signs of it coming down anytime soon) I could pass this off as "we received our Christmas gifts from my sister so we needed the tree still up"? but in all truth, the dammed 9 foot monster of fake pine needles and hugeness Christmas tree will be up till Michael deems it time to takes it down. (Or I sucker my buddie MandyJ to come over and we drag it down the hallway and hide in in the playroom again. huh, huh? Wasn't that FUN last time Mandy?) I said something about presents too didn't I? I would like to take this time to warn you, these following pictures could happen to you too if you allow a 16 year old to take the pictures:

oooohhhh such a pretty tree in freaking April

there was another kid here wasn't there? There's three kids right? umm.. I think we lost one. oh, you see her? Under all that paper? ohh ok, good : )

Image hosting by Photobucket

Elaina (my niece's friend) is... is... I don't know what to say! I think the cold meds she took are starting to kick in. click on pic for additional picture. Do you think Mike realizes that I'm not sharing the gift card?? *ahem* Thank you Aunt Jessi, Uncle Roger and Heathie! Everyone enjoys their gifts! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!

Mom and I did make it up to the Weavers loft/Knitters Underground in Cente Hall Friday, I picked up 6 (i think) hanks of Tahki Cotton (i think) and 2 hanks of Cash Irona in this beautiful purple mmm... I was pleasantly surprised they have a frequent shoppers card!! Gotta love that! Now I would love to share pictures but the camera and I. well we aren't talking right now. Or should I say that the laptop and the camera aren't talking right now!

This weekend we have been super busy, I dyed Heather's hair, Mom dyed mine, Heather and I had our hair's cut, Corra and Allysa had their birthday party (will share pics once computer is being nice) did a bit of shopping, a lot of laundry, poor Heather got sick and they are all staying till Monday morning (!) I think that's it, we where so busy I don't remember it all! It was nice to have everyone here for a nice long weekend. : D

I am leaving tomorrow to go to Harrisburg. Leaving the kids with Mike. This will be the longest that I've ever been away from all the kids. Granted Corra and Bryce go to there Dad's *ahem* Grandparents 3 weekends a month, this is going to be strange! Mike gets to bring them to dance, soccer, school and Bryce's open house! *snicker* I wonder if he will ever be willing to go again? Maybe? *L* Rigggght! Jenn, I've heard of the mannings before. Hopefully I can talk our coordinator into going to at least one yarn shop. Maybe if I bribe him with a hat? I'm not sure if the hotel will have wireless Internet or not, so you may here from me or you may not..

Anyway... I'm still knitting away on the STR watermelon sock, I'm trying not to let the twisting get to me. Sometimes its annoying, other times its fine. Go figure! *L* Its late, so have a good couple of days ya'll! One more pic? Ok, here is proof that teenagers are weird

Birthday Wishes for Allysa

      Happy Birthday my littlest girl,

 Image hosting by Photobucket

You share your birthday with your Great Grandma T. If the Doctor that delivered you drove a little bit faster you would have been born on your other Great Grandmother's birthday. If I would have known that one day I would wake up and you where over 3 feet tall, I would have never gone to sleep. (You woulda thought I would know this by now, you being the third child!)  I can't believe that you are 2! TWO! When did that happen?! We are set for a year full of mischief and a year full of giggles and fun. I can't wait, I've stocked up on ibuprofen and band aids. I'm all set. If I could just get past the fact that you are 2.

LET'S GO STEELERS!! LET'S GO!!

I just want to clarify, I am not a sports person. Well, not a sports watching person. I prefer to be out there, playing. And trying my damndest not to get hurt. I do not like to watch sports. Nope, Nope, Nope.

But, Something has happened. Just about everyone I know is all hyped up in Steelers Spirit. I went to the mall yesterday. There was a pep-rally. A freaking pep rally. We live 2 hours from Pittsburgh people! Everywhere you went 80% of the people had black and gold on. Even in Jo-anns! On the radio, talking about the game, K-rock wasn't playing any Seattle bands. (It was awesome!) Mike came home last night, and will be leaving again in the morning. We will be going to his sisters to watch the big game. And for some  unGodly reason, I actually want to watch the Super Bowl today. Its been (somewhere around) 26 years since Pittsburgh has won, and it sounds like its going to be a good game. You bet I will be asking a million annoying questions. Like what is he doing? What does that flag mean? uh... what happened? I can wait to stuff my face with pizza, wings, chips and dip... damn I'm hungry. Hopefully get some knitting done too. (well talk later about that)

I can start mass-producing these cards as late as Friday, have them addressed, stamped and out the door by Monday(ish). Did ANY of that make since to a non-panic stricken mind? So, I ask you would you please take a moment and vote on what your favorite picture is?

*note to self. Next time you try to take a

cute picture with the kids in the window:

a. Make sure the window is clean. Because the pictures that you take of the dirty window will be the cutest. But unusable because it offers proof to the world that you are no domestic godess.

b. Use a window on the side of the house that doesn't see much light. So that way you don't get a dumb refection of yourself in the picture. uh.huh.

c. Bribe the kids with candy not apples.

Moving on.

Happy HAPPY BirthDAY DADDY!!

Today is my Dad's Birthday!! WHOOOHOO!! Happy HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! TO YOU! ARRRGGGHHHH!!!

Yeah!!! WHOOHOO!! And here are 10 reason's why you should wish MY Daddy a HAPPY birthday! (stolen from the Yarn Harlot)

1. Cause he has made it this far, and Mom hasn't killed him yet. This might be because Mom cooks almost everything in the microwave, so Dad cooks.

2. He is a very good cook, someday I hope to cook as well as he does. I'm getting there. I will never understand how some one who is soo good at flavoring a lamb roast can eat those nasty burritos from Cumby's (Gas station convenience store) eww.

3. He is not a very good supervisor. One time when they where visiting I had asked him to supervise me using the broiler in my new oven. To make a long story some what short, the steaks caught on fire. There where FLAMES people, FLAMES! Corra can remember when it was cold and snowing outside, and we had all the windows and doors open because the house was filled with smoke from Mommy's cooking.

4. He has, uhh... *counting in my head*  1. 80 something Jeep Woody Wagoner (that he bought cause it had a sunroof that was being held shut with duct tape, DUCT TAPE! and it had cool stickers, and a name. geeze) 2. Willy X Jeep someone gave him. Run's, just doesn't have a floor. I find a floor some what important. somewhat. 3. 1966 Mustang, From what I can remember, this was a kit car that he put all together.  Very very very very nice. 4. 1959 (?) Austin Healy Bug Eye Spite, this car is just tooo damn cool for words. I want it. 5. 1987 Dodge Ram truck that is falling apart in the front yard. Ok that makes, 5 cars. ( and a very loong description) This is how he survived living with 3 women. Even the cats and the dog was a girl! Poor man, he was outnumbered!

5. He changes the oil in my van when I ask him. (even though he has taught me how to change my own oil)

6. He willingly ate my horrible blueberry muffins. And tried to pretend that they where good. (they where HORRIBLE! I put in 3 tablespoons of baking soda, instead of 3 teaspoons of baking powder. They looked really good...really!)

7. Thinks that duct tape fixes everything. (recently gave me a wallet, that he made out of, you guessed it, duct tape)

8.  He is a fantastic Pepe, (Grandpa) he takes Corra and Bryce fishing when we visit. Even though Bryce doesn't want to go fishing, he just wants to pee in the woods. *sigh*

9. He drove me to Poughkeepsie New York to pick up my 65' Mustang when I was 15. Helped me work on it. And it is still sitting in his yard today. My parents paid for half of the car, for my 15th birthday. For my 16th birthday they gave me a bike. Does anyone else notice how backwards that is??!!?? anyone??!!!??

10. Cause he is like, the best Daddy, like EVER!

11. also cause he has a resent obsession with Pirates. Arrgghh!!

Huh.. guess that's 11.. anyway...

*hugs* and *kisses* Daddy!! Happy Birthday!!

*note, I wanted to put pictures on this post, but nooo.. the file server where all the pictures are stored didn't want ANYTHING to do with me!! So, later when it decides it wants to work. There will be pictures. Funny ones too.*

Happy Birthday Aunt Liz!! WHOOHOO!

WHOOHOO!! Happy Birthday Aunt Liz!! Daddy's "twin" sister. they are born on the same day, different years. Its kinda interesting that he is the oldest of the six kids that my Grandparents had, and my Aunt Liz is the youngest. Interesting yes indeedido.

Lets see if I can come up with 10 things, (thanks to my wonderful computer and the wrong keystroke, i have to do this again. fun fun.)

1. She always buys the bestest Birthday and Christmas Presents. Always. :)

2. She draws a smilie face with curly hair under her name.

3. She always has a nice thing to say about any of my crafts.

4. She doesn't think my children are monsters. She seems to think they are sweet. (WHAT is she ON?!? I want some of it!!)

5. She lives near Boston. and she likes the Red Sox. Or would that be loves the Red Sox? hmm...

6. She likes purple ( I think, my excuse is I'm tired. I stayed up too late last night finishing my one hand warmer. And my kids will. not. shut. up.) and dragonflies. *edit* Wait! she likes butterflies!! (darn kids)

7. She survived living with my father.

8. She is really good at spoiling... : D

9. She promised to take the kids on the swan ride at the Boston Zoo/park. I'm going to take you up on that promise Aunt Liz!!
